Dr. Cesar Parra
Dressage Rider, Trainer, Instructor

Dr. Cesar Parra- A top international rider originally from Colombia, obtained his American Citizenship in 2009. Since then he has been representing the USA successfully, as he has obtained several National Champion and Reserve Champion Titles from Young Horses to Grand Prix by receiving over 34 invitations to Nationals. Parra has also coached through several medals in different Championships like Grand Prix, Small Tour, Young Riders, and Junior Riders. He has competed in multiple World Equestrian Games as well as the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece and the 2005 World Cup Final in Las Vegas, USA as well as Lyon, France and the World Champions for young horses in Emerlo, Holland. He has hundreds of wins internationally, including more than 30 CDI victories at Devon. Parra also has proudly produced and sold five Grand Prix horses that have competed in the Olympics.

  • Wins FEI 7 y/o class with “Sir Beckmann” at GCDA Final scoring personal best and achieving the Clinch Semican Achievement Award (presented to a horse and rider combination that earns top scores and displays outstanding excellence in their performance).
  • 2019 multiple placings at CDI Small Tour with “Don Cesar”
  • 1st at 2019 Global Dressage Festival with “Don Cesar.”

2018

  • 2018 USA Reserve Champion Developing Prix Saint Georges with “Don Cesar.”
  • 2018 Multiple placings at CDI Small Tour level, including 3rd at 2018 Dressage at Devon with “Don Cesar.”

2017

  • Competed in Longines FEI World Breeding Championships 7 year old division in Emerlo, Holland holding a spot in the top 10.

A Traveling Man

From the Olympic Trials and trips to Germany to purchase new horses, Dr. Cesar Parra returns to his roots to teach several clinics in Colombia each summer and early fall. Not only does he teach in Colombia, Parra travels globally. From Peru, to Venezuela, Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, Italy, Germany, France, etc. He believes in creating international bridges for talent and learning, where energy and passion between instructors and students fuels a higher level for the job of training both riders and horses.

Army Medals

  • July 2019 awarded San Jorge Military Medal (in recognition of his work and support as coach of the Colombian National Cavalry.
  • November 2019 awarded Pantano de Vargas Medal (for his mentorship and expertise to the officers in charge).
